CHIA SEED JAM – A SWEET LITTLE RECIPE

 

Chia Seed Jam – Fancy something sweet? Try this little recipe for of delicious Chia Seed Jam.

WHAT YOU NEED:

2 Cups Raspberries or Blackberries
3 Tablespoons Agave or Organic Honey
4 Tablespoons Chia seeds

Heat raspberries over a medium heat and mix 3 tablespoons of agave or honey into pot and mash up berries with fork.

Reduce to simmer for 8 minutes (keep stirring).

Add 4 tablespoons of chia seeds.

Mix well and simmer for a further 2 minutes.

Transfer to glass jar to cool.

Place in fridge to set.

If it’s not sweet enough for you just simply add more agave. Chia seeds turn to jelly so play around with your batches of jam and add more if your not happy with consistency of the first attempt.

The jam tastes amazing the next day and it will last up two weeks in the fridge!

Serve with rice cakes or oat cakes, over porridge or over a hot baked apple!
