This Week I’m Loving….

Skiing in Austria

Dave and I are just back from a few days in Söll in Austria and we had an amazing time with friends. This was my second ski trip after spending two days in Aosta in Italy last March. Austria was stunning – so picturesque and we stayed at the Aspenschossel Hotel. For any skiers – who haven’t yet ventured to Söll I highly recommend it. The Wilden Kaiser ski resort was amazing and it included night-time skiing and tobogganing which was incredible. That’s two ski trips and I’m absolutely hooked.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my ski gear this week so I thought I’d give some of the details here. My ski pants were a steal from Aldi. I got these last year but Aldi definitely had some on sale this year too. I paid €25 for these and compared to the prices out there that was ridiculously cheap and after having been trialled and tested I can tell you they were perfect. My jacket was from SportsDirect.com and I got it at a sale price. It was originally €101 but was reduced to €26 and my gloves were from the same site. They were the Dare 2 Be ski brand and were only€12. I brought two hats – a black bauble hat from Meemaw Accessories and this pink and grey one from Superdry. My shades were Converse and were €20 in TK Maxx. The boots and skis were rentals. See ski wear doesn’t have to cost a fortune!

CHIA BIA

Chia Bia Goodies
The lovely people at Chia Bia sent me some lovely goodies this week. We use chia seed a lot in our house in smoothies, and with fruit but we’ve never ventured to baking with the seed. Chia Bia have sent us on some info as to how to incorporate chia seed into baking as substitutes for eggs and butter. For more info check out their website – www.chiabia.com
