Homemade Hummus

I’ve been buying too much shop bought hummus recently – here’s a little recipe – ready in minutes and super easy to boot.

 

What You Need: 

1 Can Chickpeas OR  1+1/2 Cups Cooked Chickpeas
Juice of 1 Large Lemon
1 Small Clove Garlic
2-3 Tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
Salt (To Season)
2 to 3 Tablespoons Water

 

What To Do: 

Cook or open and drain chick peas. (Cooked from their original form will yield better nutritional values and probably better consistency too!)

Into the blender add lemon juice, cumin, garlic and oil and blend together. Add salt and blend.

Blend in small amounts of the chick peas in the food processor until all are whisked

Add water as needed until you get your desired consistency.

Chill in a sealed container in the fridge and serve with a sprinkle of paprika.
